Mark J. Boyd

Mark J. Boyd is a licensed member of the Florida Bar and the State Bar of Georgia who works to assist Boyd & Marks' individual and business clients in both transactional and litigation matters.

Mr. Boyd was born in Brevard County in 1982 and educated at local public schools prior to attending high school at Saint Edward's in Vero Beach. Mr. Boyd completed his undergraduate education at Duke University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree and was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, a national academic honor society in his major field of history. Prior to his legal education, Mr. Boyd also completed the Bridge Program at Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business. In 2008, Mr. Boyd received his Juris Doctor degree from the School of Law at the University of Georgia, where he received a merit-based scholarship and was selected to work as an intern for a United States Attorney's Office within the federal Department of Justice during his time as a student.

Prior to joining Boyd & Marks, Mr. Boyd spent close to a decade practicing law in Georgia, where he worked as a prosecutor handling jury trials and appellate matters on behalf of the State and as an associate at an established civil litigation firm in downtown Atlanta representing business clients. In addition to his legal pursuits, Mr. Boyd has been active in causes including the fight against childhood hunger, coaching high school mock trial and youth basketball, and serving as an after-school tutor.
